Rentiers

Overview

Designing a trustworthy deposit-arbitrage platform for the German market, from landing page to live product

Rentiers is built on a simple idea: borrow money cheaply, place it somewhere it earns more, and keep the difference without meaningful risk. The product targets the German market, where users are placing real savings into a platform they need to trust completely. The client came to us with a landing page and a clear vision. We listened, ran a design sprint, and delivered the full product: a user-facing app, an admin dashboard, and a staff portal, all built in Base44.

Discovery

A landing page, a clear narrative, and a product that didn't exist yet

Rentiers had a strong pitch and a landing page to match. What they needed was the product behind it. We started by listening: understanding the business model, the German market, the trust requirements, and the three different types of people who would use the platform every day. That listening session became the brief.

Landing

A landing page that earns trust before it earns clicks

The landing page was the first thing potential depositors would see. It needed to communicate the concept clearly, address risk concerns directly, and get the visitor to the waitlist in as few steps as possible. Every section was written and designed together, not handed off separately.

Design

Three surfaces, each with a different job, all speaking the same language

We designed three distinct interfaces: a user-facing app for deposit and portfolio management, a full admin dashboard for platform operations, and a staff portal with a scoped-down version of admin access. Each surface was designed to match its user's level of responsibility, while the shared design system kept the product coherent across all three.

Dashboard

The admin panel: platform oversight without the noise

The admin dashboard gives the Rentiers team visibility into user accounts, transaction activity, and platform health from a single screen. The interface is dense without feeling overwhelming: data tables, filters, and action menus designed to surface what matters without burying it in options.

Build

Trust is a design problem. We treated it as one.

When people put real money into a platform, the interface is part of the product's credibility. A vibe-coded look costs you users before they sign up. We built something that communicates precision, stability, and care at every touchpoint: from the typography to the data tables to the empty states. The client launched with a product that earns trust before it earns returns.
